Juvenile Court
The Juvenile Court Division of the DeKalb District Attorney's Office is responsible for prosecuting cases against juveniles handled formally in front of the Juvenile Court. The office has 17 staff members comprised of 7 Assistant District Attorneys, 5 investigators, a victim-witness advocate and 4 support staff. In 2003, the Juvenile Division investigated and prosecuted over 2700 cases and is on pace for an 8% increase in 2004.

If you wish to file a complaint against a juvenile or file a runaway or ungovernable petition, you must come to the DeKalb Juvenile Court Intake area at 3631 Camp Cir., Decatur, GA. The Juvenile Court is responsible for the complaint filing process, and will determine whether a case is referred to the District Attorney's Office for formal prosecution.
